Welcome to those of you who haven’t rowed before and want to try it out!
We offer a couple of program options for beginners in collaboration with Row Canada . The first is a ”Come and Try”, a short introductory session of an hour or two, and the second is a longer “Learn to Row” program of about 10 hours spread out over 2 or more sessions.

- Come and Try – to be scheduled shortly for a weekend morning in June, please check back.
- Learn to Row
- June 18 and 19, 9 am – 1 pm. Sorry Program now Full!
- Fee: $165 + HST (included $40 for the RCA and Row NS fees required for insurance purposes)
- First register with Rowing Canada (RCA) at Log In (rowingcanada.org). This is required for insurance purposes.
- Click Register/Join, Join a Program, then select Nova Scotia and LYC Rowing.
- Click Join the” Learn to Row” category.
- You will be prompted to complete RCA’s waiver before completing your registration.
- Do not pay on the RCA website. You will receive an email from LYC with an invoice and instructions on paying.
- Complete the LYC Learn to Row waiver.
- When your membership payment and LYC waiver have been received, you will be sent an email confirming that your registration is complete. You are ready to show up on June 18 at LYC Rowing!
