COVID-19 Update: April 26, 2021
Today the Province announced that they would be making changes to the Nova Scotia Public Health Regulations that impact the Nova Scotia Sport Guidelines. These changes will come into effect as of 8:00 am tomorrow morning (Tuesday, April 27) until at least May 20.
Please note that no matter where you are in the province, it is asked that you do not travel outside your local community unless the travel is essential such as work, school, child care, or for medical, or legal appointments. Sport is not considered essential, so if you are able to take part in sport activities where you live you should do so only within your local community. Please use your best judgment and do not participate in sports activities that are outside of your local community.
Outside of HRM and Hubbards
Sports practices and training are now limited to a maximum of 10 people indoors or 25 people outdoors. The numbers of 10 and 25 include all participants in the sporting activity, (coaches, trainers, etc.) and spectators will not be permitted. Games, competition, and events are not allowed, and all teams/training groups must be consistent.
Indoor fitness facilities like gyms and yoga studios and sport and recreation facilities like pools, arenas, tennis courts, and large multipurpose recreation facilities can operate at 50 percent capacity. Outdoor fitness and recreation businesses and organized clubs can operate with 25 people and physical distancing.
