- During the week, rows are generally scheduled for masters and intermediate rowers for 6:30 or 7 am, and 5:30 or 6:00 pm.
- Weekend rows are generally at 8:00 am Sat or Sun.
- We use the GroupMe app for signing up for and scheduling rows. Members receive an email inviting them to join the Member Group. Members are encouraged to sign up early for rows as space may be limited.
- Rows will be cancelled during foggy and very windy conditions (see Safety tab for more detail).
- The LYC Rowing coach, or a designated LYC Rowing member, is responsible for maintaining the schedule on GroupMe and cancelling rows in poor weather.
- Intermediate rowers are required to be mentored by a masters rower or the coach on each row.
- We have 2 main categories of membership for the rowing season: Masters and Intermediate.
- Beginners are very welcome and register under their specific Learn to Row program (see the New to Rowing tab).
- Short term memberships and options are available for rowers visiting for a couple of weeks in the summer (see below), or wishing to join individual or multiple rows ( see Visiting rowers tab).
- Membership fees vary depending on LYC membership; members of LYC receive a discount.
