What a wonderful transformation that the yacht club has taken.  The final touches are being put on for what will be I am sure a wonderful evening.  Have a look at a few pics;

Lunenburg Fire Department is recruiting young.  Actually these 2 young ladies are watching what is called the Lunenburg Wash.  Only at LYC does the fire dept show up to hose down the boats of salt water when the racers get off the course for the day.  It is one of the highlights of the day!

This is how close it was all weekend long at the North American Sonar Championships.  I see team Israel, team New Zealand and one of LYC's team (John Whynact, skipper).

A great time was had by all.  


This weekend the Canadian National Optimist Championships start.  This regatta will go on until Friday August 22nd.  Again we will see racers from around the globe compete here at LYC.  We have racers from Canada, US, Bermuda and this year new sailors from Iceland and Turkey.
